Gusseting Mechanism: Uses mechanical "plows" or folding boards that push the vertical sections of the flat film inward. This creates the characteristic pleated fold along the sides or bottom of the bag, allowing the packaging to expand and hold more volume without changing its outer footprint.
Sealing System: Employs heated rollers or bars to bond the edges of the bag together. Depending on the machine type, this can create a center seal (fin seal) or bottom seal.
Cutting and Punching: A precision rotary cutter slices the continuous tube of material into individual bags. It can also add features like handles, zippers, tear notches, or euro slots.
